Lilies on the Water

This is a deign for sewer covers, inspired by waterlilies. Waterlilies are the biggest native flowers in my country, but also known around the world. In the design, rainwater runs trough the petals of the flower, turning the surface of the street into the surface of the lake. Image shows a design for an 80cm wide cover, but the work is intended as a series of lilies in different sizes, as there are covers in varying sizes also on the streets

Along with the water lilies I photographed at a nearby lake, the following beautiful old drawings inspired me in my designs.
