Embroidered
The work takes its form from a traditional Art Nouveau era lace pattern, made in a style of hardanger embroidery. The work replaces the use of traditional stone pavement to mark that this space belongs to the pedestrians.
The work was part of a study about replacing ordinary planning solutions with art, without extra costs - the construction would not have been more expansive than the stone pavement. This is a design for an artwork that has not yet been built.
